A video lesson begins as a draft. Upload the file, wait until it plays, then publish the lesson and its module. Students also need access to the course and module to play it.

Upload the first video

  1. Open the course’s Lessons area, then open the video lesson.
  2. Under Video, select Choose video and upload and choose the intended file.
  3. Keep the page open while the upload is in progress. Then wait for processing to finish and confirm that the video plays in the lesson editor.
  4. If needed, select a frame under Thumbnail and use Save thumbnail. Add and save any Additional notes separately.
  5. Publish the lesson and its module only after checking the saved video and the learner-facing result with an appropriate Student account.
The file picker enforces upload limits even though the editor says “no file size limits.” If processing fails, use Choose another video. If the lesson’s state is unclear, inspect it before uploading again.

Replace an existing video

Replacing a video can interrupt playback for current Students. Their saved watch positions remain, but a different video length can change displayed completion.
  1. Choose a suitable time for the interruption and tell affected students if needed.
  2. Select Change video and upload the replacement.
  3. Wait for a ready, playable result. Check the lesson from a representative Student account and review completion for affected students where appropriate.
  4. If upload or processing fails, inspect the current lesson and contact Creatora before attempting repeated replacements. The old playable asset may no longer be attached.
There is no built-in video download or offline-viewing action. Signed playback cannot prevent someone from capturing a stream.
