A course contains ordered modules. Each module contains video lessons or quizzes. Modules and their contents have separate publication states, so keep new structure in draft while you prepare it.

Create modules and content

  1. Open the course’s Lessons area in the Admin Panel.
  2. Choose Create Module. The new module is a draft; open Edit module to give it a useful name and optional description.
  3. Within the module, choose Add: Video lesson or Add: Quiz. Each new item is a draft shell and needs its own content before students can use it.
  4. Open a video lesson to upload and verify its video. Configure a quiz in its own editor before publishing it.
  5. Publish each ready item and then its containing module. A published module does not automatically publish draft items.
The bulk creation controls can make several shells. If a bulk operation stops partway through, inspect the module before resubmitting; earlier items may already exist.

Set the order and check access

Use Reorder Modules and save the new module sequence. Reorder lessons and quizzes within each module using their own control. Students follow this order through previous and next navigation. Use Move to module when a lesson or quiz belongs elsewhere in the same course. If the source and destination modules have different level associations, the move can change which existing students can see the item and can recalculate course progress. Check representative base and level accounts afterward. A published item in a draft module remains hidden, and the course and learning-path states still apply.
Deleting a non-empty module also deletes its lessons, quizzes, and related learning records. Deleting an individual item removes its associated progress or attempts. Use draft status to hide content while retaining those records.
Before making the course public, open it with a representative Student account to check lesson order and access.
