You can choose where to present your courses and which checkout to use to sell them. For one-time purchases, Creatora can manage the entire sales experience or integrate with the landing pages and systems you already use. You can choose among three options:
  1. use Creatora sales pages with Creatora checkout;
  2. use your landing pages with Creatora checkout;
  3. use your landing pages with your own checkout, connecting your system to Creatora through the API.

Use Creatora sales pages and checkout

To manage the entire sales experience in Creatora, use the course sales page and Creatora checkout. The page presents the course and available offers. When someone chooses to purchase, they continue to Creatora checkout to complete payment. This lets you use Creatora features for presenting and selling courses together, such as lead magnets, offers, coupons, and learning paths. To use checkout, first connect your Stripe account. In the Admin Panel, go to Sales > Checkout. Under Connect Stripe, enter your Stripe account’s Public key and Secret key, then select Connect Stripe. You can also connect a Stripe account you already use for other activities. The same Stripe account can be connected to only one Creatora platform at a time.
You can use Stripe test keys to test purchases without making real payments. When you want to start receiving real payments, use live keys. In both cases, make sure the Public key and Secret key belong to the same account and the same mode.

Choose payment methods

Under Sales > Checkout > Supported methods, you can see the payment methods supported by Creatora. Payment methods available at checkout are enabled and disabled from your Stripe account under Payment methods. During a purchase, Creatora shows the methods you enabled in Stripe that are supported by Creatora.

Use an external landing page with Creatora checkout

If you already have a landing page on your site, you can keep using it and link its purchase button directly to the Creatora checkout for the offer you want to sell. The person views your landing page and, when they decide to purchase, moves to Creatora checkout to complete payment. This lets you keep your sales pages while continuing to use the Creatora offer and coupon system, together with student and course-access management.

Use an external landing page and checkout

If you also want to manage checkout with your own system, you can do so and use the API to connect it to Creatora. After the purchase, your system must communicate with Creatora to perform the required platform operations, for example creating the student and order and ensuring access to the purchased course. You can also use an external system to sell course access as a subscription. The external system manages the subscription and recurring payments; your integration uses the Creatora API to assign or remove course access. For example, your integration can assign access when the subscription is activated and remove it when the subscription’s access period ends. The Creatora API gives you access to all data Creatora stores on your platform. You can read and use it in your systems and perform operations in Creatora. This keeps you in control of your platform data and lets you build integrations as you would with your own platform. In the Admin Panel, go to Platform > API > Developer. Here you will find the GraphQL endpoint, the playground with interactive documentation, and the JWT key used to authorize requests as a platform administrator. See the Creatora API Reference for available data and operations.

Check the purchase flow

Whichever option you choose, test it from start to finish before you begin selling. If you use Creatora checkout, start from the page you will sell from, open checkout, and verify the offer, price, and payment methods. Complete a test purchase using Stripe test keys. To follow what the student sees after payment, see From purchase to first access. If you use an external checkout, verify that the API integration performs the expected operations after purchase and that the student has access to the purchased course.
