Creatora collects the metrics you need to understand platform performance directly in the Admin Panel, without requiring you to configure an external analytics service. You can see how traffic changes over time, where visits come from, which pages are viewed, and how your courses are performing. The data is organized to help you understand how your platform is performing.

Analyze platform traffic

Go to Overview > Web Analytics to analyze traffic. You can view data monthly or yearly and choose the period to analyze. The chart shows visits over time, together with the total, maximum, minimum, and daily average. In Total Visits, each user is counted only once per day, regardless of how many visits they make. Administrator accounts are not counted. The start and end of the day follow the time zone set for the platform. For example, this data can help you see whether traffic is growing or observe what happens after a campaign, a content publication, or another activity that brings people to the platform.

Understand where traffic comes from

Under Traffic sources, you can see where visits come from. To identify the source more precisely, we recommend using UTM parameters in the links you share. UTMs are information added to the end of a link to indicate where a visit came from. You can specify:
  • Source, where the visit comes from, for example newsletter;
  • Medium, the type of channel used, for example email;
  • Campaign, the campaign the link belongs to, for example course-launch.
For example, a link to a course sales page shared in the launch newsletter could be: https://academy.example.com/courses/new-course?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=course-launch When someone opens this link, Creatora can attribute the visit to newsletter as Source, email as Medium, and course-launch as Campaign. Use consistent naming rules for UTMs across your links so sources and campaigns are easier to compare over time. To view the results, go to Overview > Web Analytics > Traffic sources and select Source, Medium, or Campaign. You can then compare how many visits came from the different sources, channels, and campaigns identified in your links.

See which pages are visited

Under Most visited pages, you can see the platform pages that received the most visits in the selected period. This lets you see which content attracts the most traffic and how many visits specific pages, such as course pages or checkout, receive.

Understand who visits the platform and how

Traffic by user type separates traffic between New users and Registered students. Device used shows the distribution of visits across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Weekly traffic peaks shows the days and time ranges when the platform receives the most traffic.

Review course performance

Go to Products > Courses > Course catalog for a summary view of your course results. For each course, you can see:
  • Students, the number of students with full access to the course;
  • Leads, the number of students who signed up from one of the course pages;
  • Revenue, the revenue actually attributed to the course.
Revenue uses the amount actually paid. For example, if a student uses a coupon, the amount paid after the discount is applied is counted. When a course is sold individually through its base offer, the revenue from the sale is attributed to that course. If the course is part of an offer with multiple items, revenue is attributed to the different items based on the price distribution configured in the offer. You can set this distribution under Sales > Offers > [offer] > Offer management > Contents and price distribution. The distribution attributes offer revenue to individual items in statistics and does not change the total amount paid by the customer.

Interpret the data correctly

A visit, lead, course access, order, and payment describe different points in the process. Web Analytics helps you understand how people arrive at and move through the platform. Students, Leads, and Revenue in the Course Catalog help you review the results of each course. When you need to check a specific case, go to the underlying data: use Sales > Orders for a sale, Stripe for its payment, and the student record to verify access.

Analyze data through the API

For more advanced analysis, you can also access Creatora data through the API. You can retrieve Web Analytics data, information about students and platform activity, and data for courses, offers, and orders. You can then combine it in your systems and calculate custom metrics that are not shown directly in the Admin Panel. For example, you can build reports for custom periods, compare results over time, or relate data from different parts of the platform. This lets the Admin Panel stay focused on the metrics most useful for day-to-day use without limiting the analyses you can build from your platform data.

Use external analytics tools

For core analysis, you can use the data available directly in Creatora. If you also want to use an external analytics service, you can connect Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Mixpanel from Platform > API > Integrations. External services may use different collection and counting rules from Creatora, so values shown by different tools do not necessarily match.
