Integrations connect Creatora to external services so you can use platform data in email marketing and analytics tools. Go to Platform > API > Integrations to see the available integrations, connect them, and check their status. You can connect email marketing services such as Mailchimp, Brevo, and Mailjet, or analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Mixpanel. If you use a tool that you would like to connect directly to Creatora and it is not available yet, contact us to suggest it. We will consider adding the integration for everyone.

Connect an email service

Integrations with Mailchimp, Brevo, and Mailjet let you use Creatora information to create segments in your email service and send communications or start targeted automations. For example, you can create a segment of people who joined a course waitlist and send them a dedicated campaign, or distinguish people who have access to a specific course or level so you can send relevant communications. To connect a service, open it from Platform > API > Integrations and enter the API key or other required information.

Choose which information to use

After connecting the service, you can choose which Creatora data and events to send to your contacts. You do this by mapping Creatora data or an event to a field in the email service. Each service uses a different name:
  • Mailchimp uses tags;
  • Mailjet uses properties;
  • Brevo uses attributes.
For example, you can map a tag, property, or attribute to platform registration. When someone registers, Creatora updates their contact in the email service. You can then create a segment of registered people and use it, for example, to start a dedicated email sequence. The integration settings include information you can map to the email service:
  • platform-wide information, such as registration and account setup completion;
  • information about a specific course, such as joining the waitlist, course access, or level assignment.
Depending on the service, you can also synchronize profile data such as first and last name and automatically add new registrants to a list. The tags, properties, or attributes you want to use must already exist in the email service. If they do not, create them in the external service first. They will then be available in Creatora for you to map to the corresponding information. If you use Mailjet, create the custom properties you want to connect to Creatora as strings. Compared with Boolean properties, strings also let you create segments based on whether a property has a value. To configure information for a specific course, you can also go to Products > Course catalog > [course] > Integrations. This opens the same configuration available under Platform > API > Integrations, directly from the course you are working on.
The Course purchased item is also updated when course access is assigned manually. Do not use it on its own to distinguish people who paid for the course from those who received access another way.
After configuring the integration, perform a test action in Creatora and check in the email service that the contact was updated as expected.

Delete a student

When you delete a student’s account from Creatora, connected email integrations are updated and the contact is removed from the lists managed by the integration. Removal from the list does not necessarily mean the contact is fully deleted from the email service. If you also want to delete data stored by the external service, manage it directly in that service.

Connect an analytics tool

You can connect Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Mixpanel to analyze platform visits and activity with external tools. Open the tool from Platform > API > Integrations and enter the required identifier: the Measurement ID for Google Analytics, Pixel ID for Facebook Pixel, or Project Token for Mixpanel. Once connected, use the external service to analyze the collected data. To understand which data you can view directly in Creatora and how to distinguish the different sources, see Analytics.

Edit or disconnect an integration

You can return to an integration’s settings at any time to change its configuration or disconnect it. Configuration changes do not automatically rebuild historical data in the external service. If you disconnect an integration, data already sent to the external service is not automatically deleted. If you want to remove it, manage it directly in that service.

Create integrations through the API

The integrations available in the Admin Panel are not the only way to connect Creatora to other systems. The Creatora API gives you access to all data Creatora stores on your platform. You can read and use it in your systems, as well as perform operations in Creatora. You can therefore use the API to build custom integrations with other tools and services based on your project’s needs. This keeps you in control of your platform data and lets you build integrations as you would with your own platform.
