# Reuse page blocks and professional profiles

> Understand which edits affect one page and which affect every place shared content appears.

You can use the same page block or professional profile in several places. **Editing the shared content changes it everywhere it appears.** You can still choose separately which pages use it and where it appears on each page.

## Reuse a page block

In the page editor, **Connect existing** connects an existing block to the page. It does not make a copy. For example, if you connect a block from a course to a service and then edit its text, the saved change appears on both pages.

Each page has its own block order. Moving a block on one page leaves its position on other pages alone. To remove it from one page, choose **This page**. **All pages** deletes the block everywhere.

Before editing or deleting a shared block, check the other pages where it appears. If you only want different wording on one page, create a new block for that page rather than changing the shared one.

Select **Save changes**, then open the affected pages; **Preview** may include unsaved edits. The editor cannot save an empty block list through its normal save action. If a save fails, reload before retrying because some block changes may already be saved.

## Reuse a professional profile

The **Instructors** area on a course and **Who offers the service?** on a service use reusable professional profiles. Editing a profile's name, role, biography, or image can change its presentation on every course and service that uses it.

**Remove** detaches the profile from the current course or service. **Delete** removes it from all courses and services. Check every place it appears before deleting it; the confirmation shown from a course mentions courses but omits services.

Creating a profile and adding it to a course or service are separate actions. If an addition fails, check whether the profile was created before creating another one.

The **Instructors** page-block template is separate freeform content. Editing that block does not edit a reusable professional profile.
