# Verify public pages as a visitor

> Check the saved public experience as an unauthenticated visitor before sharing a page.

Use **View as guest** to check what a visitor who is not signed in can see. Do this after saving changes to your homepage, navigation, footer, or another public page.

## Check the saved page

1. On a computer or an iPad in landscape orientation, open the public page while signed in as an Administrator.
2. In the administrator bar, select **View as guest**. The page reloads and the bar says you are viewing as an unauthenticated user.
3. Check the page itself, its navigation and footer, and any links you expect a visitor to use. Open the links and confirm that they lead to the intended public destinations.
4. After editing, save your changes and refresh the public page to check them.
5. Select **Return to administrator view** when you finish. Your Administrator session remains available.

  The administrator bar and its guest-view control are not shown in mobile portrait. Use a supported larger viewport to enter guest view, then check the public page on mobile separately if its layout matters.

## What this check covers

Guest view represents an **unauthenticated visitor**. It does not show what a signed-in Student, course owner, purchaser, or person with a particular course level can see. Check those experiences separately when they matter to your launch.

For purchases, email delivery, or signed-in access, follow the guide for that task. A public destination may also depend on whether its course, service, Community, or review is available.
