# Make a course available

> Choose course visibility, manage the waitlist, and use lessons as lead magnets.

When the course is ready, you can choose who can see it and what they can do from the platform.

## Choose the course status

In the Admin Panel, go to **Products > Courses**, open the course, and under **General**, choose the status:

* **Public:** the course is visible on the platform and, if you have completed the sales setup, can be purchased.
* **Waitlist:** the course is visible but cannot yet be purchased. Interested visitors can join the waitlist.
* **Private:** the course is visible only to administrators and students who already have access to it.
* **Archived:** the course is no longer visible on the platform or accessible to students, even if they previously had access. It remains saved and can be reactivated later.

## Manage the waitlist

The **Waitlist** lets you collect interest in a course before making it available for purchase.

To see who joined, open the course and go to **Waiting list and leads**. For each person, you can see whether they have already purchased the course and their total spend on the platform.

Hover over the lightning icon next to **Total spending** to also see the waitlist conversion rate, meaning the percentage of people on the list who have already purchased the course.

Changing the course from **Waitlist** to **Public** does not automatically send a message to people who registered.

If you have connected Creatora to [a supported email service](/en/platform/integrations#connect-an-email-service), Creatora tells the service which contacts joined the waitlist. You can then create a dedicated campaign and contact them when the course becomes available.

## Use a lesson as a lead magnet

A **lead magnet** is free content that you offer to a visitor in exchange for registering.

In Creatora, you can use a lesson that is already part of the course as a lead magnet, without creating separate free content.

Open the lesson you want to use and, under **Lead magnet**, select **Registered users**. The lesson becomes available for free to registered users, even if they do not have access to the course.

Creatora automatically features these lessons on the course sales page and in the lesson player. To access the lesson, the visitor must register with their email address.

If you select **Students only**, the lesson remains available only to students who have access to the course.

Free access for registered users can only be used for shared content, [not content reserved for a level](/en/courses-and-learning/use-course-levels).

## Check the result

Open the course sales page and select **View as guest** to check how it is presented to visitors and which action is offered.

To check access to a lesson used as a lead magnet, use a registered account that does not have access to the course.
