# Configure your platform brand identity

> Update your platform's brand name, favicon, and logos, then verify the saved identity.

Use this guide to update the name and images that identify your platform.

## Before you begin

Prepare a brand name and three image files:

| Asset                      | Admin Panel recommendation       |
| -------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| Favicon                    | `512 × 512px`; PNG, WebP, or ICO |
| Logo for light backgrounds | `512px` high; PNG or WebP        |
| Logo for dark backgrounds  | `512px` high; PNG or WebP        |

  The name and each image save separately. Changes take effect immediately across the platform.

## Open Brand

1. [Open the Admin Panel](/en/get-started/open-and-navigate-the-admin-panel).
2. Select **Platform**.
3. Select **Brand**.

## Update the brand name

Your brand name appears throughout the platform and wherever the platform needs to identify your brand. Notification emails from the platform also use this name, so students can immediately recognize who they come from.

1. In **Brand name**, enter the name you want the platform to use.
2. Select **Save changes**.
3. Wait for the saved-changes confirmation before continuing.

The brand name is required. Update the images separately if they also need to change.

## Replace the favicon

The favicon is the small image shown beside the address in some browsers, in the browser tab, and in saved bookmarks. A simplified version of your logo usually works best.

1. In the **Favicon** section, select **Change favicon**.
2. Choose the square image you prepared.
3. Wait for **Favicon updated**.

**Favicon updated** confirms the image was saved.

## Replace both logos

Your logo appears at the top of the platform and in platform notification emails. The two logo files are independent: one is used with a light interface and the other with a dark interface. Replace both so the logo remains recognizable in either context.

1. In the row marked **Visible with a light theme**, select **Change logo** and choose the logo prepared for light backgrounds.
2. Wait for **Logo updated**.
3. In the row marked **Visible with a dark theme**, select **Change logo** and choose the logo prepared for dark backgrounds.
4. Wait for **Logo updated** again.

Replace each asset that needs updating.

## Check the brand identity

1. On the **Brand** page, check each logo in its contrasting preview.
2. Select **View platform** and confirm that the current logo appears in the top navigation.
3. Open or refresh the platform homepage as a visitor.
4. Confirm that the browser tab shows the intended favicon and that its title includes the intended brand name.

To change a saved image again, replace it with another file.

## Troubleshooting

### The wrong logo appears with a light or dark theme

Return to **Brand** and replace the file in the matching light- or dark-theme row. The two rows save independently.

### An image update does not confirm

Check the dimensions and formats shown on the **Brand** page, then try the relevant image again. Do not treat the local preview as a completed save until **Favicon updated** or **Logo updated** appears.
